Did you know? A licensed real estate agent is not a necessarily a REALTOR®. However all REALTORS® are licensed real estate agents. The difference? An active licensed real estate agent is someone who has met the minimum state requirements to transact real estate. A REALTOR® meets this same requirement. In addition, they are required to abide by a strict Code of Ethics which require them to conduct business in a more organized professional  manner. 

The NAR Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice establishes ethical duties that all REALTORS® agree to follow as a condition of their membership. These duties provide a high level of service and professionalism to clients/customers and are the key factor separating REALTORS® from all other real estate practitioners.
